Positions Available:

Scientists from diverse backgrounds are welcome to apply for a position in the Barton Lab. A strong background in immunology is not required. Applicants should have a track record of thinking and working independently and must be willing to work collaboratively with others in the lab.

 

Postdoctoral fellows typically obtain outside funding within a year of joining the lab.

Graduate students cannot apply directly to the lab; instead, interested students should apply for admission to the MCB graduate program. While students from other graduate programs can rotate in the lab, the vast majority of students interested in immunology enter Berkeley via the MCB graduate program.
